Michael Samir Abend (born 1996, Switzerland) is a contemporary abstract artist based in Luzern. His artistic perspective has been shaped by a life lived across cultures, having spent time in Syria, Saudi Arabia, the Dominican Republic, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These diverse experiences inform a practice that embraces exploration, movement, and a broad visual language.

Michael began pursuing art seriously during the pandemic, a period that allowed him to dedicate himself fully to developing his creative voice. Working across mediums including acrylic, oil, resin, and alcohol ink, he experiments with colour, texture, and composition to create layered abstract paintings.

His work focuses on the interaction between colour, form, and subtle detail. Through an intuitive and evolving process, Michael develops compositions that invite viewers to engage with the work in their own way, discovering new elements and interpretations over time.
